I believe lives can be transformed, restored and renewed and one way this can be achieved is through the process of counselling. Life can be difficult and although we cannot escape all the challenges we encounter, we must remember it takes courage to face and overcome our problems. Too many of us are suffering in silence and carrying unwanted burdens which rob us of the beauty and riches of life. I don’t believe this is where we are meant to stay . But this requires us to:-

- in exploring the good, the bad and the hidden   areas   of our lives
- by learning new ways of being and relating       which reflects our authentic selves
Experience
​

I am a fully trained and qualified counsellor and began my private practice in 2010. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC). I am also a qualified Supervisor and work with  therapists, coaches, CEOs, and team members in the helping profession. Since 2020 I have also been part of a writing team publishing material on preventing and managing burnout and stress.

I also train and deliver workshops on topics such as stress, burnout, trauma and overall mental health and wellbeing.

My clinical experience includes working with clients who have needed support in the following issues:

  • Anxiety -OCD

  • Burnout and stress

  • Depression

  • Relational difficulties

  • Grief: bereavement and loss

  • Low self-esteem

  • Identity problems

  • Family dysfunction, neglect and childhood abuse

  • Occupational difficulties·        

  • Self-harm and suicidal thoughts

  • Eating difficulties

  • Pregnancy crisis, post-abortion and miscarriage

  • Fertility issues

  • Spiritual difficulties

  • Trauma including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Dissociation.

  • Secondary trauma 

  • Mild psychiatric disorders and personality disorders
